Adolescent Health Programs - Richmond City Health District

The current strategic focus of the Adolescent Health Program is to decrease the teen pregnancy rate among 15-17 year olds in the City of Richmond.  Evidence based strategies are implemented to include risk avoidance and risk reduction programming, community outreach, training, and information dissemination.  Through a partnership with Richmond Public Schools the HYPP (Helping Youth Prevent Pregnancy) program is implemented in health classes in grades 5-10 throughout the school year.
